ABOUT
Welcome to The Vinyl Revolution, NZ's newest record store!
The Vinyl Revolution is situated in the small seaside city of Timaru, in the South Island of NZ. Stocking quality new and used vinyl records, and selling both in store and online. Also a wide variety of greeting cards, graphic wall art and photography, all vinyl related and designed by owner, Rebecca Emmerson.
Rebecca has been a professional photographer and graphic designer for the past 20 years and spent the last 15 years living in Wanaka with her two children. Two years ago she made the move to the East Coast of NZ, and in that time has been working on the idea of a record store/cafe. This has all come to fruition and been designed from the ground up by Rebecca.
"I want this to be a store where people can come in, have a coffee and sit and listen to records, and of course buy records, and also to educate the younger generation in the world of analog and the love for physically owning an album"
Rebecca has had a passion for music from a very young age and has collected cassettes, CD's and vinyl records for as long as she can remember.
"This is my passion, talking music is my passion. I am a huge rock and metal fan, and I will never move on from 80's hair metal bands, they are my go to. I also have a love for European Melodic rock and also country music"
"I'm all about the music, but being a passionate person I have a love for many other things, which include photography, design, the outdoors (I love the mountains and the lakes) ice-skating, cricket and the colour PINK and also live for the sunshine"
I hope to see you in my store soon
Rebecca xx
